In the low-lying Baronia plain where the Cedrino River winds beneath the Gollei Lupu hills, Loculi’s unique alluvial terrain shapes a distinct agricultural landscape. This Sardinian enclave hosts 16 protected denominations, led by the highly localized Provincia di Nuoro IGT, a wine designation restricted to a zone of just 100 municipalities. The fertile river basin also nurtures the spiky Carciofo Spinoso di Sardegna DOP, a prized artichoke cultivated across a 128-commune territory.
