Rising from the rugged slopes of the Monte Acuto region, where the ancient, deep forests of the historic "Silvas de intro" barony once flourished, Berchidda nurtures a highly specialized viticultural identity. This granite-carved Sardinian terrain is the birthplace of exceptional white wines, most notably the prestigious Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, a designation limited to a zone of just 23 municipalities. The slopes also yield the characterful Colli del Limbara IGT. Currently, 2 verified producers craft these expressive wines right here in the municipality, with 1 opening its cellar doors to welcome international enophiles.
