In the wind-swept granite hills of Sardinia's historical Gallura subregion, Aglientu's maritime microclimate nurtures some of the island's most distinctive viticulture. This rugged coastal terroir shapes Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, a prestigious white wine produced across a restricted zone of 23 municipalities. The mineral-rich hillside soils also yield the expressive Colli del Limbara IGT, capturing the aromatic essence of the surrounding Mediterranean scrub. In total, 16 protected denominations overlap this specific corner of northeastern Sardinia, proving that Aglientu's extreme landscape is uniquely suited for crafting high-character wines and spirits.
