Solarolo

Situated in the fertile alluvial plains of the Ravenna province, the small commune of Solarolo, populated by around 4,400 residents, boasts a specialized agricultural landscape that yields 19 protected denominations. The local silty soils are particularly famed for nurturing the delicate Scalogno di Romagna IGP, an aromatic shallot cultivated across a restricted zone of only 16 municipalities. This specific terroir also shapes the character of Ravenna IGT wines, representing a viticultural zone of 18 municipalities, and the sweet Pesca e Nettarina di Romagna IGP peaches, which thrive in this warm, well-drained microclimate.
