Fiscaglia

Forged in 2014 through the union of three historic riverfront communities—Massa Fiscaglia, Migliarino, and Migliaro—this reclaimed territory in the Ferrara lowlands thrives on a delicate balance of water and silt. This specific wetland terroir shapes Fiscaglia’s agricultural identity, hosting 19 protected denominations. Prominent among these is Riso del Delta del Po IGP, a cereal cultivated across a strict zone of 17 municipalities where brackish coastal winds and alluvial soils impart a distinctive sapidity to the grains. The humid microclimate also perfectly cures the intense, spice-laden Salama da sugo IGP.
