Alzano Lombardo

Positioned in the lower Seriana Valley just five kilometers northeast of Bergamo, Alzano Lombardo bridges rugged alpine terrain and fertile plains to nurture 17 protected denominations. This unique geography shapes the microclimate for the prestigious Valcalepio DOC, a wine shared across a select zone of 42 municipalities, alongside the historic Terre del Colleoni DOC, spanning a zone of 71. These slopes also yield the expressive Bergamasca IGT. This temperature-regulated valley floor provides the ideal environment for maturing complex Lombard cheeses, most notably the traditional Salva Cremasco DOP.
