High on the slopes of the Larian Triangle, the alpine peninsula carved by the splitting branches of Lake Como, Albavilla’s mountain-lacustrine climate nurtures its food and wine. This rugged terroir shapes Terre Lariane IGT, a crisp wine produced across a zone of 180 municipalities where steep vineyards catch the lake breezes. On the cooler hillsides, curing traditions thrive, yielding the sweet Salame Brianza DOP, which spans a zone of 286 municipalities. In total, 15 protected denominations overlap in Albavilla, anchoring a rustic gastronomy born of high elevations and lake-tempered air.
