Galluccio
Wine · PDO · 5 municipalities
Established in 1999 within Campania’s Caserta province, the Galluccio DOC is anchored in five specific municipalities, including Conca della Campania. This denomination distinguishes itself by enforcing a strict minimum of 70% Aglianico for its red and rosé wines, while demanding at least 70% Falanghina for its whites. For the red wines, production rules restrict maximum yields to 11.0 tons per hectare and mandate that the base rosso cannot be released before June 1st of the year following harvest. Elevating this standard, the Galluccio Riserva requires a minimum of two years of aging, with at least one full year spent maturing in wooden barrels.
